Shoppers Drug Mart free gifts
I moved back to school today. As with welcoming all the new students, the entire campus ground is filled with corporate promotions. In particular, the Shopper’s Drug Mart near our booth set up a booth to give a free gift bag to new optimum sign ups. I signed up as a new user a received a bag filled with granola bars, chocolates, condoms, flyers and stress ball. Nothing special but it took 0 time on my part.
Welcome Day meal plans
Since I was helping out with the frosh week festivities, the school covers all the meals for volunteers. We eat the same food as the first-year students on the meal plan. That day, the catering company cooked up a storm of lasagna, pasta, salads and desserts. In total, I had around 3 servings, with a plate of take-home desserts.
Here is a shot of the dessert spread. The chocolate fudge brownies were especially delicious! Some people may find them too sweet but I have terribly sweet tooth.
Some lasagna and pasta here. Amusingly, when I went for 2 slices of lasagna the server immediately intervened and restricted me to 1 portion. There looked like there was plenty of food and most of the students had already eaten…
Here are two of my partners in crime – its always better to go to free food events in pairs/threes. You are more comfortable and feel less awkward.

I noticed there were still loads of leftover foods left. Not one to waste food, I took a plate of desserts to go.
