Right after the indigenous gorging, I was scheduled for another event within an hour. A club I’m part of is being honored by the student union. Free appetizers were provided to encourage attendance. As soon as the servers brought out the appetizers (meatballs, nachos and dip, fried chips, stuffed broccoli, spinach) everyone rushed the line. Our exec team found a spot close by the food line, so I kept going back for more servings.
That night, I probably had over 10 meatballs and a plateful of various assorted hor d’oeurves.
