Today was a scientific research poster day, an all day event where professors and students present their papers for public viewing. Registration was free but required to attend. The event catered breakfast and lunch to all attendees – this was clearly a big budget event.
The keynote, the coordinator of Velocity from Waterloo University, spoke about importance of entrepreneurship within education. Some points he touched on were quite insightful
– Build community
– Physical space is important (having a building/space people associate with whatever organization)
– Benefits of free (offering free food, workspace, etc.)
– Patience is key
– Competition is good
This is breakfast
And this is lunch
As you can see from the pictures, the food served was excellent quality buffet style.
