No purchase necessary, and all you had to do was sit through a 10 min pitch of why RBC is better, for an easy $50
I made an appointment a Saturday afternoon, and printed off my TD statement with me. I waited for around 5 – 10 min to see my advisor for the meeting. He ushered me in, and immediately asked me if I was here “just for the $50 bucks or really interested in switching to RBC.” Nice guy, straight to the point and no bs. I told him straight up I was simply there for the $50 promo. No further questions were asked, and he quickly prepared the paperwork for my gift card.
I walked out of the branch within 15min and a $50 prepaid VISA card. Thanks RBC!
