Personal Finance Seminar

The alumni association held a personal finance workshop today. The event description stated, “lunch provided” which immediately hooked me. I even had to skip a lecture to attend this, but it was well worth it. I didn’t manage to get a lot of pictures but the spread was exquisite (by my standards) – assorted wraps, subs, vegetables, tropical fruits and desserts.
The seminar was very informative – it centered around beginner finance and introduced some basic tax regulations on certain accounts and how to minimize unnecessary taxation. The session lasted 1 hour, but we stayed around an extra 30 min to listen in the Q&A session.

This was a snapshot of one of the plates I managed to get. There were only about 15 attendees and enough food for 30 people; needless to say, I got my fill. Keep in mind this single plate of food can easily run around $15 at my school cafeteria. I probably ate over 3 full plates then.
