Around exam season, the student union spends a load of money to buy food for students. See last year, when they gave out wraps and loads leftover that I managed to take home.
This was another all-star event: It was the Christmas party for the innovation hubs near our school. Lots of people and their families were in attendance. Everyone involved in the hub came out, including investors, community members, sponsors and associates.
Right after the breakfast feast, there was free soup event. I went to this event last year and it was very good. A few older people ran a group on campus affiliated with several religious group. Today happened to be a liturgy session, followed with homemade soup and bread.
I found this event advertised on the school calendar of events. We hit it up quite early around 8am. To our surprise, all the attendees were school employees – ranging from cleaning staff, cooks and office workers. Luckily they didn’t discriminate and welcomed us in.
