During the month of October, companies flocked to Warwick Campus to hold recruiting and networking events for students. It was a great taster of what its like to attend a target school. Of the countless events I attended, here is a sampling of what they were like.
The company in question today is Metaswitch, an engineering and telecom company. It was a fairly smaller turnout (around 50) compared to the banking and consulting companies that managed to attract hundreds of students that lineup all the way outside and around the building! Nevertheless, a smaller crowd means less traffic when food was served.
Shown below is the standard buffet spread that the company offers when you sit through an hour-long presentation.
Hilariously, I’ve heard some student crash networking events just for the free booze they serve, treating it as a pre-drink. Some event wore nightclub outfits to the networking sessions.
Throughout October and into mid November, there was literally an event every night. This was my calendar for free food.
