Mini Hackathon – 3D Printing and Food

This was the first mini hackathon I attended. The group managed to get a local 3D printing company to come down, bringing their printer with them! We all got an opportunity to use it and printed nameplates, toys, etc.

Here is the printer. It took over 2 hours to print a simple, palm-sized object. If you didn’t know, 3D printer works by printing thin resin, going layer by layer to add the 3rd dimension.

Lunch was offered for free to all attendees. Pizza and chicken wings were ordered.
