The annual homecoming for universities is always a big deal. Everyone comes out in school spirit and watches the football game, regardless if they understand the game. For this special event, our school organized a huge free lunch (chili, breadsticks and cookies) for everyone to eat. There was enough for 1000 people. Surprisingly, many people walked by without even asking what was going on, much less eat the free food. My roommates and I gorged ourselves on serving after servings of rich and hearty chili.
Several companies also set up booths to promote their organization. Namely, the next top ad exec gave out free chips, and a local bakery served up cupcakes.
