I managed to go another month without spending groceries. Although I will attribute this to an overspending last month, and I also went home a week for reading week. It wasn’t as special as in November/December, where my food stockpile was dwindling and my hand was forced.
I’ll admit I am spending a lot less than anticipated. I originally thought my monthly spending would hover around $1000. It’s mostly because I cut back clothing expenses. I haven’t seen any great deals on the sites I typically frequent (tres-bien, ssense, mrporter, endclothing, etc.) so no clothing was bought. I did drop $40 on a haircut, which many people might consider excessive. But I spend a lot to get it styled, afterwards I just take several pictures and bring it to a cheaper barber to maintain the look.
I quit the part time job I was working, so my income dropped significantly.
