I found flyers plastered all around campus inviting students to attend their first meeting. This group promoted fair trade foodstuff – food produced by people earning fair wages. That obviously meant a markup on prices, something I would personally never buy (but that’s an argument for another day). The members baked a delicious cake and brownies, along with fair trade coffee and chocolate bars. Very “organic” and delicious! We watched a short documentary preaching the necessity of fair trade amongst western society, and I made my exit soon after.
