This here is another free event I scoped out on Eventbrite. I registered despite little knowledge of what the event actually entailed or who it was targeted it. All I knew was it was held on the 47th floor of the JP Morgan building in Canary Wharf. If anything, it’s a good excuse to check out the building interior, which was expectantly impressive as any bank headquarter building.
Turns out, JP Morgan’s charity arm was sponsoring a research study for Allia, a social entrepreneurship group. The aim of the study was to determine the feasibility of setting up an incubator in East London for budding entrepreneurs. The point was to bolster local economy, welfare and education through supporting small businesses. The findings? It’s feasible pending further analysis.

Lots of senior folks from Allia and other stakeholder groups, and a handful of JP Morgan employees were also in attendance.
The food during the networking session was on point – I expected no less from JPM
