A few students and their faculty supervisors organized a childhood obesity and diabetes workshop. Many of the attendees were fellow students, or various individuals of healthcare capacities including nurses, dietitians and physicians.

I got the wonderful opportunity to attend Jack Summit this year as a delegate. It’s a 2-day mental health conference that gathers 200 young leaders across Canada to Toronto and brainstorm initiatives to combat stigma around youth mental health. The MSU campaign was coming to a close, and tonight featured the all candidates pub night in 1280. Students were invited to a “get to know your president” type event. It was a meet and greet, then all candidates got in front of the mic for a casual QA session.
