OPRIG – Desserts and Convo

The very kind members of McMaster Chaplaincy hosted a dessert drop in for international student and Canadian students alike. It was a meet and greet type event that welcomed international students here. All the treats were very delicious and homemade.

MMI Event – Leftover Food

Walking around MDCL looking for an empty study room, my friends and I stumbled upon this goldmine. For the upcoming medical school interviews, MMI facilitators are undergoing training. They covered breakfast and lunch.

Relay for Life – 7pm to 7am

From 7pm to 7am, the gymnasium is converted to “tent city” as students stayed up all night, engaging in various activities to promote cancer awareness. Around 200 students came to this event, which was comparable to last year. In total, $73,000 was raised.

Entrepreneurs – Southern Smoke Truck

Spectrum and Entrepreneurship Association teamed up for a final event to host Southern Smoke Truck. This was a local food truck operating in Hamilton. The owner brought his truck food: delicious pulled pork and walnut cherry salads for everyone. It was absolutely delicious!
