This was a lucky find. I was in the library studying for my exams when I had the sudden urge to check for campus events. It must have been updated within the hour because I hadn’t seen it the morning when I checked. But now it showed an art reception happening right then. I immediately left the library for the event. F
ood was excellent: a mixture of usual catering food (sandwiches, cheese and crackers, fruits and veggies and desserts) and also some hot foods (meatballs, spring rolls, assorted hor d’oeurves). I was there right on time so I had lots of the hot foods. They were the first to go. Since it was a reception, no one knew each other, and it didn’t seem awkward for me to simply stand there, eat and browse my phone. I had 3 or 4 platefuls before leaving.
