Perhaps the highlight this month, the indigenous group at our school always throws extravagant events. Tonight was no exception, as no expenses were spared for students, friends and family of the indigenous studies.
What always strikes me odd is the small amount of students that come out to it. They advertised this event weeks in advance, welcoming all of the student body. Yet only 20-30 came out.
An intimate dining hall was rented out on campus. After a few words by the chair, a scrumptious meal of roast beef and turkey was served. It was absolutely fantastic, a holiday buffet with all the trimmings.
Even better, there was entertainment throughout dinner. Guitarists, singers, dancers all performed to the audience’s delight.
