In celebration of sustainability week, a group at McMaster gave out free pizza in the student town hall. I was walking by when the dozens of pizza boxes caught my attention. I hung around at realized they would be giving all these out to students! It was right around lunchtime, the hall was packed so I imagine they would be swarmed with students. That wasn’t the case…
I couldn’t believe it… people didn’t even bother with stopping by when they saw free pizza given out. There was a Pizza Pizza around the corner, and people were willing to stand in line, and pay overpriced pizza as opposed to getting free pizza!
This kind of attitude is why I have little sympathy for students graduating with over 50,000 in debt. See this post.
