This was a charity event organized and funded by the school (thus the food must be good). To participate, students had to raise a minimum of $15. They would be given a bracelet that gives them access to the lounge area and food.
The distribution of bracelets was very unorganized; I posed as a volunteer and got behind the desk to snag a couple bracelets. Dinner was pizza, and an organizer informed me they purchased “$800 worth of pizzas”. Of course, there were leftovers. In addition, there were dozens of boxes filled with snacks such as fruits, cookies, muffins, granola bars and the likes. But the real “gold” in this event was the table Starbucks sponsored – They kept it stocked full with Starbucks sweets and treats (see picture). A single snack there easily sold for $4 at a store. I lost count of how much I eaten over the course of the night, but it was well worth over $50. The entire event, I periodically went to the food area and grazed. Just before leaving, I took a handful of granolas and Starbucks treats.
